Composite electrodes embed the carbon felt electrode into conductive plastic bipolar plate by special process, can greatly improve electrical conductivity and battery efficiency.

In the process of battery stack assembly, compaction pressure is critical to decrease the contact resistance between carbon felt electrode and bipolar plate, not enough assembly pressure greatly affects the battery efficiency and performance consistency. Besides, the uneven compaction pressure on the carbon felt electrode inside the stack of battery may cause crack issues, and complex connections may also lead to sealing problems which result in leakage or mixing of electrolyte .
