Membrane separator is a porous membrane which provide a barrier between the cathode (positive) and anode (negative), and prevent short circuit of theopposite electrodes. As one of the key materials for Zn-Br flow batteries, microporous membrane is monopolized by very few companies and the price is very high.

We provide new kind of membrane separators based on Polyolefin resin, not only permeable to ionic flow, but also ensures that the Bromine complex with large volume can be blocked at other side of membrane. Positive electrolyte and negative electrolyte are separated to prevent self discharge and low current efficiency of flow batteries.
